Announcing the New Canton Adult Day Center

After a year of exploration into the availability of services for older seniors in our community, church leaders have determined a need for more options for those who may live alone, feel isolated, have memory challenges, or just need supervision. We are happy to report that after much study, discussion, questions, and getting through the necessary approvals, the Canton Adult Day Center at the North Canton Community United Methodist Church has just opened. — located 1/2 mile north of the intersection of Routes 179 and 309.

Oxford Home Care, a well-respected Connecticut professional organization, with years of experience working with older adults, will provide 8-5 care, as many days as needed, in a cheerful, safe and friendly environment in our church space. Details about the provided services, activities and programs are explained in the enclosed brochure. Providing these services will also give respite for family members who need time from caregiving responsibilities or who must continue to work. Families using the Center can be assured they will have reliable, professional daytime care for their loved ones.

We are helping Oxford publicize this new service. Any family member interested in discussing the services or to have a tour of the Center may call Caitlin Blake, Oxford Director of Community Relations at 860-491-5059 to arrange a time to talk or meet. If you have any questions about this new service before referring anyone, we are available to answer questions. Call the church office at 869-693-4589 and leave a message for Gail Champlin to call you back.
